Primary Facilitators

Mary-Jo Fetterly

Mary-Jo is the founder and senior facilitator of Trinity Yoga. In January 2004, Mary-Jo Fetterly, broke her back in a tragic ski accident, leaving her paralyzed. Mary-Jo was back teaching yoga only three months after her accident, now from her wheelchair, with a whole new understanding of the physical form and the essence of Yoga.

Trevor Yelich

Trevor Yelich is a primary facilitator for Trinity Yoga's Yoga Teacher Training and Personal Development Programs. He is a certified instructor with Trinity Yoga, the Hunyuantaiji Academy of Canada, and the PhysicalMind Institute. When not away conducting Yoga Teacher Training programs, workshops, and retreats, Trevor can be found conducting local yoga classes in the Calgary area and serving as the primary facilitator for Sangha, a community that has been brought together to promote wellness through education and training in mind-body arts.

Jennifer Steed

Since Jennifer's grade school days she has been exposed to yoga and its benefits first through her mother and then through a variety of teachers, continuing on her eclectic path of studies even today. Her fascination with the inner and outer worlds of the human experience lent themselves well to her studies in many topics ranging from massage and sports therapy to indigenous spiritual practices. An avid student of mantra and kirtan, Jennifer is keen to sing or chant whenever the opportunity arises and even more thrilled to dance to any tunes around.

Anna Colin

Anna began her yoga journey at an early age on Hornby Island where she was born and raised. After studying gymnastics throughout her youth Anna shifted her focus to yoga once she discovered the deep inner peace and positivity it brought to her life.  Anna is now a senior facilitator with Trinity Yoga International. She divides her time between her local classes in Nelson BC and traveling across Western Canada sharing the gifts of yoga with the world through Trinity's renowned Yoga Teacher Training and Personal Development Courses.

Co-Facilitators

Ally Bogard

Ally's style of practicing and teaching yoga emphasizes strength, playfulness and joy, encouraging students to connect both with their heart and their own true teacher within. After completing her degree in International Development in Latin America, Ally traveled extensively throughout Central and South America and came back to do her teacher training through Yoga Alliance, studying under Mary-Jo Fetterly, Jennifer Steed, and Anna Colin of Trinity Yoga. Continual growth and development in Yoga for Ally is inspired by Anusara Yoga and the Universal Principles of alignment.

Trisha Wilson

Trisha spent her summers as a child on the coast of Galiano Island, British Columbia.  The natural serenity of the island found its way within her and guides her yoga and teaching practice.  Yoga Alliance Certified through Trinity Yoga, Trisha's teaching draws from a strong dance background and love of movement as well as continued studies in yoga therapy, philosophy and meditation. Her love and curiousity for life has taken her around the world.  Most recently, her third trip to India awakened greater understanding of the tradition and philosophy of yoga.   

Assistants

Sonja Podstawskyj

While studying Kinesiology at McMaster University, Sonja discovered her love for experiential education, nature and movement. During summer breaks, she'd relocate to Nelson BC, to spend time with her mother and the mountains. Here she attended her first yoga class - fell asleep in savasana - and awoke with new eyes. In 2006 Sonja completed the Trinity Yoga Teacher Certification Program and now assists at teacher training courses. She is continually honored to receive and share the gifts of yoga. Sonja inspires others to live harmoniously with nature and to dance with abandon.

Laurie Madison

Laurie treasures a holistic perspective. Interwoven amidst her love of yoga have been studies in herbology, ayurvedic healing, transcendental meditation and energy work.  She became certified in the ashtanga vinyasa tradition within Trinity Yoga in 2004 and presently teaches in the Nelson, B.C. area. Her warm and compassionate nature plus 25 years of practice bring a measure of focus to technique and alignment.
